Research Funding Opportunities

iTrack is the official website for the SR EyeLink 2K Reading and Perception (RaP) Lab in the Institute of Neuroscience and Psychology / School of Psychology at the University of Glasgow.

Our main research focus is in understanding reading behaviour.  Participants eye fixations (pauses) and saccades (rapid movements) are recorded as they read text.  The position, duration, and sequence of their eye fixations are analysed.  We find that readers' eye movement behaviour varies systematically in response to a range of different properties of the text - from lower level aspects such as type-font to higher level ones such as semantic complexity.

Our hope is to be able to identify all relevant factors and determine more precisely how they interact during the process of reading.
